Falabella is one of South and Central America's leading retail giants, with operations in Chile, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, and Mexico. It operates five business units: department stores, home improvement, supermarkets, real estate, and financial services.
Falabella India’s challenge was to find a learning solution that was scalable, with flexible functionalities, and customizable to better engage learners. Improving operational efficiency, driving productivity and performance, and standardizing in-house training were also a few of the criteria they were looking for.
Their vision was to find a single learning platform to host both internal and external courses, while offering employees a wide variety of learning options from different course providers at affordable costs.
In February 2020, myAthina onboarded Falabella India and the process of supporting 300 users began. The myAthina team built a customized interface by accommodating several modifications to the product, helping Falabella India in their journey of launching a successful employee skills development program without the complexity of time-consuming administrative tasks.
myAthina brought to the table a system that was intuitive and had a low learning curve for Falabella India’s administrators, managers, and employees. With myAthina, Falabella India was successful in achieving their goal of effectiveness in learning and development programs, while increasing employee productivity and satisfaction.

Falabella Chile, a South American Retail Giant, is the parent company of Falabella India. The employees of Falabella Chile predominantly speak and communicate in Spanish, whereas in India, English is the common language of choice. To bridge this language gap between the employees, Falabella India conducted fun and interactive training courses with videos introducing the Spanish language, and a quiz built using myAthina’s course authoring tools. The campaign was a huge success and employee participation statistics showed that learners enjoyed the session and benefitted by gaining knowledge about the culture and work etiquette, which was key to working in a cross-cultural environment.
To upskill employees and prepare them for better roles, Falabella India is running a continuous live training session on Leadership and Communication using the myAthina feature – MyEvents. A trainer conducts the course live via Zoom integration and myAthina facilitates seat booking for these training sessions.
